Reputedly the second oldest Vitesse in existence, this rarer big brother to the Herald is an amazing find. It was with one family- brother and sister until the 1980s when it was then sold on via the servicing garage to a fellow customer who owned the car until 2012. We bought it directly from him. There is interesting paperwork including the Standard-Triumph service book, original sales pamphlet and more up to date known/ traceable history supporting 25, 000 miles from new. Transforming the car from genuine, but faded original to show, we caried out bare metal respray 10 years ago in original Litchfield Green including boot and engine compartment including detailing the components. Woodwork was repolished to its original quality lustre and the Mid Green upholstery (protected most of its life with woollen covers) cleaned up amazingly. The patterned carpet a period Triumph feature is original and irreplaceable. Supplementary dashboard gauges are an interesting period rarity. Having sold the car to a collector who has cherished it for the past decade, this small family classic is a feast for the eyes and an unusual survivor.
