The E39 generation 5 Series is, to many, the best 5 series that BMW have ever made. Classic, understated styling but with that undeniable road presence. When you saw one of these in your rear view mirror in the 90s, it wouldn't be behind you for long, especially in 4. 4 V8 form like this car. Clearly the original owner was more focused on performance than gadgets with this car as metallic paint and telephone were the only options specified. The discreet chrome grille slats and the boot badge are the only clues to this cars sporting pretences.
Finished in Biarritz blue with beige Leather this handsome car is in generally very good condition throughout. Paint is a little dull on the bonnet and roof as is typical with a BMW of this age. The wheel arches are free of corrosion and the sills are very good with a small localised repair to the drivers side rear jacking point. The car has had a total of 5 owners although it had the same owner from 2002 until 2019 when it was sold to a family member.
This car will really bring a smile to your face, it makes you want to take the long way home.
