The ACE was produced by AC Cars of Thomas Ditter, England from 1953 to 1963.
It was one of England’s first post-war sports cars, featuring an attractive body and a simple, yet sporting, chassis. In later years, the design was used by Carol Shelby to create the most iconic of British roadsters, the AC Cobra.
This beautiful example (chassis # AEX123 ) is fitted with an inline six-cylinder displacing 1, 991 cc and producing 90 hp / 67 kW.
Produced in 1956, the car was delivered new to the US, LHD and originally painted in white.
The current owner acquired it from another Belgian collector in 2009 and went through a restoration project in 2010-2011 by UK specialist Jon Sichel Engineering, in Kent. Full documentation of the restoration on request.
Today, the car is finished in red over a good-looking blue leather interior with a black soft top. It presents very well and is in good technical condition.
