Citroen CX GTI Turbo, Manual 5 Speed, 1985 New MOT until Jan 2025
This is now a well known CX, it being the Ex Practical Classics – James Walsh car and if you followed its story from 2019 you will know it has a enormous amount of quality work carried out on it by Citroen specialists, making it one of the few on the road, reliable CX GTI Turbos in the UK. The car comes with numerous special features, from brand new 16” versions of the period T-Slot alloy wheels at a cost of £1300, complete with Michelin CrossClimate tyres. It has a full stainless steel Vortex exhaust and new GTI Turbo spec spheres all-round. Always very reliable and very capable of keeping up with modern traffic, I have just been on a 300 mile motorway round trip and she can certainly cruise at 80mph very comfortably, make no mistake this is a fast car, with the turbo kicking in she has a lovely kick on acceleration, but can be driven in 5th gear at 35mph, a very tractable engine. Brand new MOT, can be viewed on my own 4 post lift.
There are not many left and we all know the cost of restoration.
