This is the legendary and sought-after “Slantnose” Porsche 911S, Type 930. The look was mimicked from the 935 racecars. In 1983 Porsche offered the option on newly ordered vehicles, the changes were executed on the raw body shell, which would retain Porsche’s anti-corrosion warranty. This option was only available for the 911 Turbo at the cost of $23, 244. (60% up-charge) The options included: sloped front fenders, retractable and non-retractable headlamps, and air vents to ensure efficient air-cooling for the brakes and engine.
The magnificent 1983 Porsche 930 turbo slant nose coupe featured here is finished in gorgeous Guards Red over a specially ordered Leather to Sample/ Guards Red. This stunning example is one of only 34 built and one of a handful of the early models produced with non-pop-up headlamps giving the car a desirable racecar look. This meticulously maintained and low mileage (4, 871 miles) make this arguably the best example in the world. This, combined with low production and desirable early production, make this vehicle the perfect example to add to any premier Porsche collection.
