HERE we have a rare model, the Triumph 1500 front wheel drive. It is a facelift example and one of the last to be built before the Dolomite range kicked in and the car was switched to rear wheel drive. She is as pretty as a picture with twin headlights, a stunning interior, exceptionally pretty bodywork and a sound underside. She also has an MoT until August 2023 with no advisories. These little front wheel drive Triumphs are great fun on the road and it is the earlier 1300 fwd model which tends to be the one people remember. The last owner but one kept her for the best part of 30 years and this is clearly a much loved car. Comes with a large history file containing detailed invoices. She has undergone an engine strip down, a head overhaul with new valves and seats, timing chain and tensioner, clutch, brakes and lots more. A very pretty 1970s classic which is highly usable while standing out from the crowd.
My classic cars are motoring antiques. Please do not confuse them with your one-year-old Range Rover. This car, for example, is 49-years-old and so will have quirks and faults in there somewhere. These are not always apparent when buying and selling classics which is what I do. I do not restore them, nor do I pretend that they are concours cars. I am not a garage, nor am I a showroom. I do not subject them to rigorous tests and inspections. They deserve to be taken on as "family pets" and cared for through thick and then. They don't make them any more and demand now out-strips supply. The majority of these ancient motors will need degrees of restoration or re-commissioning. They are not intended to be everyday cars; they are aimed at the enthusiast, the classic car lover and the diy motor mechanic and body man. They are hobby cars; there to be tinkered with and enjoyed. Please accept them as being in their own context as context is all.
I also deliver and so please ask for a quote.
