Here we have a wonderful opportunity to own a Top Spec Range Rover Vogue soft dash for 1993.
The vehicle was bought by the previous owner at only 4 years old for the sum of £12, 900 (The original invoice is available) and the optional extra of £3, 000 to fit a brand new Mitsubishi Pajero engine (The engine had done under 15, 000 miles when fitted)
The owner had bought the car from a very reputable dealer in Yeovil who was fitting Mitsubishi Pajero and Toyota Land Cruiser engines to the not so classic Range rover of the time. He had a deal with an insurance company and got hold of basically brand new engines at a good price and offered it as an “Optional Extra” to the buyers of the Range rovers he was selling.
This is what the previous owner decided to do. The engine has been fitted so well, you would think it came out of the factory like that, really well done. It even includes the Air conditioning and ABS.
The Long term owner drove the Range rover classic to 254, 000 miles covering 150k himself. About 6 years ago, it went off the road as it was replaced by a newer model to keep the mrs, happy.
Now for the bad news, It has been off the road for the past 6 years and it needs some love. It will start up but needs a good run and service etc etc. It now requires some renovation and of course welding. Like most classic range rovers these days which haven’t been previously restored. Sadly the previous owner bumped the back of the car and now there is some damage that will need to be taken care of. So it is sold without an MOT as a restoration project.
The car comes with the factory Air suspension which seems to work well but it hooked up to be able to be operated manually instead of electronically inside the car.
This car is most definitely worth saving, The spec list on this car is huge!
