Description
With none of the rust issues - why we see so few Cougars on our roads today - this car’s shell and underbody are free from any incipient terminal corrosion. It is a true survivor, having been dry-stored for long periods, continued under my ownership.
It would take very little tlc indeed to groom it for future classic status. The smooth engine and four-speed auto-box make for very relaxed driving. Its recorded mileage, backed by documentation, is now 45620 - being a working car. At 45114 new front brake callipers, Borg & Beck disc pads and all new Avon ZV7 tyres were fitted. The air-con system was re-gassed a month ago.
Once owned by a film company, the car is reputed to have featured in the tv drama, Silent Witness, stored long-term in an expensive London facility of which there is a booklet. Whether it appeals to you as a classic car project or simply to be enjoyed as is, you’ll not be disappointed. Please look up the Cougar's impressive credentials online.
