A rare Export model, four door GT in superb condition. The chassis number includes '78' which confirms this as a correct factory car.
This lovely Mk1 airflow GT was purchased by a retired engineer in 2016 having been imported from France and then converted to righthand drive and re-commissioned carefully with attention to detail.
The next owner spent £4, 000 during his tenure detailing and overhauling the car to a high standard. The brake servo and master cylinder were replaced and the clutch hydraulics were renewed. Under the bonnet and the interior were lightly restored were necessary to bring the Cortina up to scratch.
Included in the history file are lots of invoices for work carried out, a current V5C and an orginal owner's handbook.
Mk1 GT Cortinas have a Cosworth fettled 1, 498cc engine with a twin-choke Weber carburettor and an uprated cylinder head.
