Being one of only 2 examples on the road, this has to be one of the rarest of the 1980's hot hatches, a unique survivor and actually the best. A far better drivers car than either the Golf or 205 GTi's.
I had one new in 1984 and the Mk2 new in 1987 and can confirm the Mk1 is the best road car by far. A beautifully sweet engine and perfectly geared for fast road driving.
There is no rust on the car, it has been welded underneath at some point. The sun roof has been previously deleted, however it has popped up on the nearside and it has the usual small cracks on the plastic wings and front panel, both easy repairs.
Mechanically it's superb and drives like new and the interior is almost perfect.
One of the best drivers car's I've owned and will return 50 mpg making this an exceptional and rare opportunity. A real eye catcher.
The only one in Blue in the UK as this was imported from Japan in 1986.
