South Africa's answer to the 1275GT, this is called a Rebel. They were the last ever classic Mini’s to roll off the SA production line (Oct 1983).
The Rebel was the most expensive SA production Mini ever sold.
Rebels were only red in colour. Exact numbers aren’t known (there was no distinction made re chassis numbering from the other 1275E’s)
Rebels were produced between Nov 1982 - Oct 1983.
This stunning Mini Rebel has 102, 000kms on the clock with all Original interior in excellent condition. The factory fitted radio is in working condtion. The Undercarriage, footwells, inner sills, spare wheel well and battery tray are all totally rust free.
Factory fitted: Rev counter, Spot lights and Sunroof. Stylish Rostyle wheels.
A list of work carried out recently:
New clutch, New brakes, New shocks all round, New stainless steel exhaust (incl silencer), New tyres, New battery, Cylinder head overall, Reconditioned radiator, Full service, Fitted with electronic ignition.
No rattles or squeaks and handles as a Mini 1275 should do.
All electrics & gauges fully functional.
Been resprayed approx 3 yrs ago.
Bubbling on roof channels, a few imperfections on paintwork but overall very nice and eye catching
Starts on the button first time every time.
Goes like s... off a hot shovel :-))
