Wrap now removed - we are currently building the client a group 2 JPS replica E24 race car to take its place, thus the car has been reduced to clear, grab a bargain.
The car drives beautifully, handles very nicely and sounds wonderful. With all of the lovely extended leather you get in the highline, it's a lovely cossetting place to be even by todays standards too. That buttery 4 speed auto changing gear without perception, delivering the torque filled punch from the venerable fully rebuilt and silky smooth M30 lump with such grace.
Use the right pedal a touch more and you'll soon notice not only are these not slow even by today?s standards, but they make a very sumptuous noise too, for a single overhead cam engine, the creamy howl of the 3. 5L straight six, coupled with its Paul Bracq styling was good enough to have them dubbed the German Ferrari in the 80's. with the addition of a full custom stainless exhaust and manifold, this particular example sounds dreamy! Still looking sharp all these years on, let's not forget the design was already 13 years old at this stage, to say that they really are a timeless design would be quite the understatement.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION:
In the past 6 years of ownership the car has undergone a rolling restoration, with no stone unturned, it is essentially a fully restored car, all bar a full bare metal respray, although all rust and paint has also been dealt with where needed, even including the inside of the engine bay. There are areas that will want a blow over due to the previous AC Schnitzer parts car wrap being removed, hence the low price, so grab yourself one of the cleanest bodied and well sorted e24's for a bargain rate!
