Get it bought, go straight out and have some fun, all it wants is enjoying. Lovely condition inside and out, solid underneath, earlier model with the desirable split windscreen, what’s not to like?
1956 Morris Minor in very good all-round condition, running and driving spot on. It really is a smart looker, please ask to see our video, we show you the car driving, being driven, a walk round and the all-important underside, we show you everything, nothing hidden, no nasty surprises when you’ve travelled a distance to view, we show you up front.
It starts very easily and runs well, pulling strongly through all the gears, it stops well (see the video) and is steady at speed with no wandering or vagueness. No smoke when pushed hard and no signs of any worrying leaks or drips after a run, we have checked the fluids for correct level and contamination and there's no breathing from the oil cap when running, the engine bay is incredibly tidy.
All the doors, boot lid and bonnet open, click shut and lock, the windows wind down, the quarter light vents twist, the side lights, head lights and horn, wiper, washers, pop out tafficators all work.
The paintwork is very good, no noticeable scratches, odd imperfection will be found on very close inspection, it has a deep shine and when the weather is being kind and dry you can see your reflection in it. Bright work is all good, not new and slightly aged but all fine, spare wheel and jack in the boot, underside and boot floor are all solid, see pics.
The interior is very smart, appears to be all original and in brilliant condition. it retains that gorgeous old car smell that’s often lost with new interiors, lovely headlining in a wipe clean type material we’ve not seen previously, very tidy original dash and it still has the supplying dealer’s sticker.
We have the current logbook, it was first registered on New Year’s day 1956 and is showing just 4 owners. We also have an all clear HPI printout but sadly no more history, but it’s clearly led a charmed life and been well cared for. Being a 1956 it has the correct 803cc engine, which looks to be a gold seal replacement, the clock is showing 25k but it’s unlikely to be correct.
