The fastest production 4 seater of its day, the Jensen CV8 boasted a 383 (6. 2 litre) Chrysler V8 mated three-speed Chrysler Torqueflite automatic gearbox. This particular example was supplied by Charles Follett on the 20/ 08/ 64 to the Earl of Yarborough, an interesting history subsequently followed which involved a massive rebuild by the Jensen factory in 1966 including the fitment of a MkIII braking system, a letter from the Earls personal Chauffeur testifies to this. The Earls ownership appeared to continue through to 1975. After the Earl it would seem the Jensen had 2 more owners and was restored in 2004. Presented in its original Botticelli Blue Chassis 104/ 2222 is in fine condition all round and still boasts its original blistering performance with a few extra horses being added in the rebuild.
