SUMMARY

The RCZ has always fascinated me since it's launch, and I've had my eye out for one for a while. It's one of those cars that's so much better than you expect it to be. The RCZ was one of those few concepts that remained largely unchanged between the drawing board and production, and is often compared with Audi's first generation TT, which coincidentally was also made by in Austria by Steyr Puch, so there's actually a common DNA there, and you can see similarities in the way its constructed. As such the quality of the RCZ is a noticeable "cut above" of your average Peugeot, and feels almost Germanic to me.

I actually came across this car purely by accident. It was in at the garage I use; I started looking at it whilst it was there one day, and thought this is actually a very nice car; Its not often you get to view a car in such fine detail before buying it. In any case, it transpired a Postal worker had bought the car from the local MP, who's wife had owned it most of its life. It had previously carried a valuable registration number, and it was then I realised I knew this car having walked past it everyday for around 5 years! It had failed its MOT on exhaust emissions and various suspension parts, and the bill had spiraled somewhat. As it was coming up to Christmas, and this was at a time when Royal Mail were periodically striking, the owner was struggling to pay the four figure bill, so the garage proprietor put me in contact with the owner of this RCZ; the upshot was that I bought the car from him, and also paid the bill which was re invoiced to me.

I really, really like this car, and as such have maybe gone a little over the top with it; I've afforded it the same attention to detail as I would one of the Mercedes I'm known for. I concede it may be a touch dearer than whats out there, but this car is "right" and you couldn't buy one of those cheaper cars, and do what I've done to this one for what I'm asking. This car is properly sorted, and ready to go a new owner. As we say in Mercedes circles; "quality is remembered, long after the price is forgotten" I'm convinced the RCZ will become a classic; just look at it, there's nothing like it; it really does turn heads. The great thing about this superbly refined GT-HDI model is its in a cheap road tax bracket, and returns incredible fuel consumption, averaging around 50mpg, but this is not at the expense of performance either as this car is seriously quick too, infact its highly impressive. This is one of those rare things; a Sports car that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to run.

Just a little add on here. I've been using this car over the last couple of weeks, and I can't believe how economical it, especially given how fast it is. Its currently showing 50. 9 mpg as an average mpg on the onboard computer, which is incredible for a car lke this. It's also grown on me even more, as it does everything so well and (I think) looks fantastic. After almost 20 years in the Classic Car business, I've think that I've got got quite a good record in predicting what will and won't become a classic, and as I've already said, the RCZ has future classic sooner written all over it, even its just by virtue of its looks.

THE MTSV DIFFERENCE

Unlike some, I don't just simply go out, buy any old car, give it a good clean, then advertise it for more than the purchase price, disregarding any issues the car may have in the hope the new buyer won't notice; I just couldn't and wouldn't do that. The cars I source are carefully selected, and I work very hard so that when my cars leave me, I have the satisfaction of knowing they are as good as they possibly can be within the constraints I have. As such over the near 20 years MTSV has been trading, I have many repeat customers, many who have become good friends, and new customers that have been recommended via word of mouth; the ultimate accolade for anyone in business.

Any other questions, please feel free to contact me at using the button below or on the details below. I'm a firstly and foremostly a true car enthusiast of many, many years, and a Mercedes Club Member, so it's a pleasure to meet and speak to like-minded people.

Finally, I'm situated in Keighley, West Yorkshire (Postal Code Area BD21) which is approximately 11 miles from Skipton, and 20 miles West of Leeds.
