An excellent example of a UK supplied TR4 that presents very well in all respects following much recent renovation work by specialists Moorland Classic Cars, invoices on file amounting to £23, 000 detail the work completed.

The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate on file shows that this delightful car remains in its original colour, British Racing Green and it retains the original high specification it was built with including hard top, black Surrey top, heater, overdrive, 48 spoke wire wheels and windscreen washers. The TR4 left the factory on the 10th September 1962 and was supplied when new through Triumph main dealer Albert Farnell Limited in Bradford, Yorkshire. The original issued Yorkshire registration mark, XKW 252 remains on the car today.

The TR4 remained with a number of enthusiasts in the north of England and was the subject of a total rebuild in the 1980’s at which point the speedometer was zeroed. In March 1995 the car was offered for sale by established classic dealer, Grundy Mack, based in Huddersfield, being described as a really excellent car throughout. They sold the car to a French lady living in the UK following an inspection by TR specialists Enginuity, their comments on file described it as very good and totally rebuilt. Following purchase, the car was sent to Enginuity for the correction of any issues found, the work is detailed on file.

The TR4 was sent to live in the lady owners house in France for summer holiday use and remained there until she sold the car in 2015. During this period the TR4 was carefully used and well maintained with minor work being completed by a local garage as per invoicing on file whilst the car returned to the UK briefly for more major work, again all detailed on file.

In 2015 the TR4 returned to an enthusiast in Yorkshire who kept it for two years, constantly improving it during this period as again detailed in extensive invoicing in the history file.

The last owner purchased the TR4 in June 2017 from this last Yorkshire based owner following a detailed inspection. Since then, the car has been lavishly cared for as noted in the first paragraph and has been used sparingly in dry summer days only. The mileage has risen to just 24, 000 miles following the zeroing of the speedometer at restoration, thirty or so years ago.

A very nice example of the quintessential post war English sports car ready to be enjoyed immediately.
