Let me introduce Sid, sorry about pictures will be replacing with clearer or can send direct . when we adopted him he had been off the road languishing in a barn or similar for 20yrs, by the look of it his nose was sticking out of wherever for most of it, needed a lot of attention but not terminal to his face. my final decision was made when i did a compression test on the knurled rusty engine, returning 200 every pot , factory settings, and running sweet at 63 thousand miles, we signed the paperwork there and then and he became ours,,,,,
before i go into the work done, I wanted to try and save as much of the original car as possible, the interior has been tidied up but all the original bits are still there including the radio and speaker, the seats have cleaned nicely, and a sympathetic carpet fitted. And a new windscreen and seal, The front end was shot so a new one fitted along with passeger wing, Underneath the floorpan is the one it left the factory with. solid and no welded patches, has new boot floor repair some around the front arches, new inner and outer sills both sides, new A panels both sides inner back arches been welded, all welding sealed and protected my welder is a genius, here is a link which includes the part he invented for the boot repair,,,,, - details above
and the work done on Sid, so finally sid will come with 12 months MOT, first in 20 yrs and becomes exempt then i believe , 4 new tyres all freshly tracked and balanced. And not to mention the missing wiper which is winging its way to me as we speak replacing both,, i will ship anywhere in the world when funds clear at my bank.
