As confirmed by its Jaguar Heritage certificate, this XK was delivered new on 3 December 1958 in New York. It was in its current colour combination: cream with red leather interior.
Bought in 1989 by the current owner's father, it has remained ever since in the same Austrian family. They have always taken great care of it, which explains its remarkably well preserved condition today. It is equipped with its superb original twin-cam six-cylinder engine ('matching numbers') and a rare Borg Warner automatic transmission. The subject of an older restoration, it has been little used since and the bodywork still looks very good, with well aligned panels and white paintwork which shows only a few minor faults. The underbody has been well looked after and the chromework is in good condition. The red leather upholstery, with matching carpets, is splendid, as is the dashboard whose speedometer is now graduated in km/ h. Under the bonnet, the car has been fitted with an electric Kenlowe fan to make it easier to use in any weather and any conditions.
With its odometer reading 60, 318km, this attractive XK150 convertible has been registered with the Österreichische Veteranen Register and a FIVA identity card issued for it. Supplied with an interesting history file, this is a fine example of the last member of the famous XK family, the ultimate and the quickest version.
