Registered on August 31st 1960, and originally supplied to celebrated Composer and Conductor: Anthony Hokpins CBE, this is an excellent, restored, example of the rare and highly prized XK150 ‘S’ 3. 8 Drophead Coupe, of which only 69 examples were manufactured in Right Hand Drive form.
In addition to its 3. 8 Litre engine, with correct Triple SU Carburettor configuration, the cylinder head has been fully stripped, ported and rebuilt by WinSpeed to fast-road, WSM-2 specification.
The car is now installed with a T5 5-Speed Gearbox and power steering and also benefits from a 6-branch exhaust manifold. It sits on 16” Chrome Wire Wheels shod with Blockley Radial tyres.
Finished in British Racing Green with Suede Green trim, it possesses a very good history file, complete with Green Log Book, numerous MOTs since 1970 and considerable correspondence and bills. We have known this car for the past twenty five years with its three owners during this period. It is absolutely ready for the 2026 Classic XK Motoring Season.
