December 89 Excel for sale. 180 bhp high compression engine in very good condition. The car has been well looked after and has covered 138k miles. Over the last 30000 miles it has had the following items replaced:
clutch assembly
engine rebuild (new bearings, valves, rings, etc.)
steering rack refurbished
brake pads
rear discs
handbrake cable and linings
all brake pipes
rear exhaust silencers in stainless steel
engine cooling fans
starter motor
battery
fuel pump
door window motors and switches.
The cam belt was changed in June and the timing and carbs tuned by Chris Foulds Motors.
Bodily the car is in good condition apart from the odd scratch and stone chip. Some time in the past it has been resprayed in metallic blue paint. I have replaced the headlining and had the dashboard re-laquered. All the electrics and instruments work, including the pop-up headlights and the electric windows and door mirrors. It has the original OZ alloys fitted with almost new tyres.
The Mot runs until Aug. 2011 and the tax until Dec. 2010.
