First registered in the Aosta region of Italy, this beautiful Fulvia was restored in Milan by a classic car restorer for his father. The work involved a strip down to bare metal, minor bodywork repairs and then a full repaint in the orginal silver. The engine was fully rebuilt with new pistons, bearings and a refurbished cylinder head and the brakes, suspension and steering box were overhauled.
The car travelled about 2, 000km before being put into storage for some years and then it was sold to the UK where a comprehensive re-commissioning was carried out by Lancia specialists Day and White at Brands Hatch, which cost in the region of £4, 500.
Recent work has included new seat covers (from Italy) and a full correct carpet set, new gaskets and seals throughout and the fitment of a set of correct wheels, fully refurbished and fitted with new tyres.
The history file includes invoices since being in the UK, paperwork for extensive repairs by Day and White, the original Italian logbook and handbook, and a bill for a full tune and set up resulting in one of the sweetest Fulvias we have driven. It is smooth and crisp and is a delight to drive.
