This 2000 Ferrari 550 Maranello WSR is one of the factory 11 RHD cars ever made, believed to be only 9 left in existence and 1 of 3 examples left in the UK making this a very rare modern classic Ferrari. This example has been in long term storage as a part of a collection for the last 7 years and only covered 156 miles in that time. Car has now had a major recommission including all belts and fluid changes and now has a valid UK MOT.
If you're not familiar with the WSR models, Ferrari built 33 road cars to celebrate the success of their land speed record set at an oval test track in Columbus, Ohio and set the following world records:
- Covering 100 miles at an average speed of 190. 2mph
- Driving for one hour at an average speed of 184mph
- Covering 100 kilometres at 188. 9mph
The WSR's were optioned from factory with the Fiorano Handling Pack, leather trimmed roll cage, suede covered steering wheel, carbon bucket seats along with race harnesses to suit. Other changes included the sports exhaust, Bordeaux carpets and a WSR plaque inside the car.
