This early 1957 Beetle was originally delivered to Sweden as a 1200cc Sedan de Luxe model, and first registered in January of 1958. The Beetle was finished in L41 Black with the options of a larger rear brake light reflector, uprated battery and laminated windscreen. The VW arrived into the UK in 2005, to be restored by marque specialists and subtly modified with lowered suspension and a redesigned interior. The paintwork was entrusted to well regarded bodyshop Paintbox, whilst the interior fitted with period-style bucket seats, trimmed by renowned VW upholsterer Bernard Newbury.
A well known car on the show circuit in the early 2000s, since 2020 the Beetle has been stored as part of a larger collection, and will no doubt benefit from light recommissioning before being used once more. The Beetle is offered complete with UK V5C, copy of heritage certificate, receipts and previous correspondence.
