John Chatham Cars has the pleasure to offer one of the very first Jaguar E-types of the production line. This beautiful example of the mark is Chassis No 29 flat floor right hand drive coupe. Accompanied with an extensive history file documenting the cars provenance.
Manufactured on the 15th November 1961, finished in opalescent dark blue and navy blue interior the car was then shipped out to the USA on the 24th November 1961. Ordered by an influential New York Financier who was due to be transferred from the USA to the UK, however he could not wait and wanted the car as soon as possible, hence the car being shipped to the US as a right hand drive.
It further transpired that he did not transfer back to the UK and the car remained in the USA until 2010.
The car underwent an extensive rebuild to the highest standard keeping the originality of the car at heart by Fullbridge restorations and Foxley Classics.
