Description
1961 Porsche 356 B Coupé "A colour to perfection...... for this model!!! (According to the available factory Kardex, this BT5 Coupé was purchased on 16 December 1960 and shipped to Mahag Porsche in Munich. Its original configuration included a 1600 Super engine, Slate Grey paint, light grey vinyl interior, two armrests, anti-glare rear-view mirror, headrest, chrome wheels, touch-up paint and two speakers. - Sold new to H. Keilholz, resident of Hamburg, Germany, it was registered in California ten years later (in 1971) and has had only 3 owners since. - The mild Californian climate has been kind to this Porsche. The bodywork is entirely original, with the exception of the area under the battery, which was stripped a few years ago - There are no traces of previous accidents. The entire exterior body paintwork, which is several years old (+- 15 years), shows imperfections with patina on almost all the panels. It has the look of a Baroudeur and we appreciate its character.
- A lot of work has been carried out over the last three years: mechanical work, carburettors, front and rear brakes with a front disc conversion using CSP parts, an Eisenmann exhaust, LED exterior lighting, a set of "C" windscreen wipers with speed variator, a new "T6" gear lever and new linkage, a Blaupunkt car radio with new speakers, repainted wheels and a perfect upholstery interior with new rubber mats and seat belts.
- All this work carried out has enabled the previous owner to travel distances of 1000Km each. - This Porsche 356 BT5 is perfect for a 1st in collection in a superb colour and can be used and enjoyed without fear of premature wear. * Selected by us at the last US Porsche Meeting - By appointment (Marne-la-Vallée-Disneyland-Paris) Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information.
