Description
HERE is my lovely little Austin-Healey Sprite, a 1969 model with the correct spec 1275cc twin carb engine. Judging by the history file and some photos in it, it looks to me as though she was the subject of a proper restoration around 25 years ago and I believe she has not had a great deal of usage since. A delightful example with a super underside still showing areas of body colour. She sounds and drives just as she should and has the added bonus of a stainless steel exhaust. Body panels and paintwork are most impressive and the contrasting red leather seats complete the perfect picture. The hood is a heavy duty canvas one and would benefit from a good clean although it remains perfectly intact, waterproof and serviceable.
Overall, a very pretty Sprite indeed and a sprightly example at that! She displays excellent oil pressure too, still idling between 50 and 60 psi when thoroughly warmed up!
