Mercedes Benz 190E 2. 0 Auto W201
Here we have our pride and joy a classic and reliable Mercedes 190e in amazing almandine red . This is not your usual 190e with some rust here and there and a few marks etc
This has been cherished all its life with the paperwork to back it benefitting from having near enough every receipt to show what was spent on it from new avaible some dating all the way back to 1990 the history is incredible (see photos) including its original cotton tag that would of hung in it from new a real classic that’s bound to appreciate in this original condition
In my ownership I have spent just over 3k having the car mechanically gone through with no corners cut again receipts to prove
It’s also benefited from having the bodywork gone over by a classic car specialist and any bodywork required carried out the car was then sprayed to bring it up to what it is now which Is just stunning the car has zero rust on the bodywork or underneath a solid original example not modified or messed with in any way I believe the photos and video speak for itself .
The car has full Mercedes Benz service history up to the last one carried out which was done by a specialist who looks after all our vehicles it has what is (RARE) hydralic rear suspension that was only found on cosworth cars unless specd very hard to come by on a 2. 0 it drives without fault as it should and is just a joy to be in and experience.
A real thought out and over engineered car it’s currently on 170. 000 miles with the last mot having zero advisories any one who knows there classic mercs will know what mileage these can do when looked after and I can assure you this has been meticulously maintained for a 36 year old car this would show up most 2 year old cars
I’ve included a list of all the work it’s had this year alone just to show the up keep it’s had the new owner will have nothing mechanically to worry about or any body work issues there’s so much I’ve most likely missed and welcome any more questions
There are a few little niggles to be totally transparent and honest .
one rear window needs a new regulator still avaible from euro car parts
Update - After speaking with our mechanic we are told the light on is the ASD light and is to do with the rear active differential and is very common for these to become illuminated and not to turn off this has been on in our entire ownership and for the whole time of the last owners , does not effect the car in any way or how it drives and does not effect the mot told it’s most likely the relay that requires changing but I have yet to come by one as to try a little look online will show it’s quite common on these 190s
The windscreen has slight milking on the corners due to age again available from chips away and all big windscreen specialists 115 pound through insurance never bothered me persaonlly liked that it was original still .
Apart from that it’s had all fluids, pads, gearbox serviced, torqure converter fluid changed often missed, brake fluid changed you name it I can tell you it’s been done please look at the receipts and list provided in the photos this is a car you won’t need to spend money on .

I am in no rush to sell and will happily keep the car in storage and enjoy it in the summers and fine weather if it does not sell.
so please no silly offers or time wasters this is a 190 that requires nothing. other than the small job of a window regulator
