Ordered new by a Hertfordshire dealer through Maranello Concessionaires on 17th January 1972, this matching-numbers 246 GT was finished in rare Rosso Dino (20-R-350)—one of just 314 produced in this colour—paired with black interior and carpets. Completed and invoiced by the factory on 20th March 1972, it was delivered to the UK and first registered on 24th April 1972.
One of only 488 UK-supplied examples, and with just 257 believed to survive today, this Dino remained with its original owner for a decade before being re-registered in his personal name in 1982. Over the next 34 years, it passed through four further keepers, during which time the engine and gearbox were rebuilt, and the interior was retrimmed in black leather with dark red Daytona-style inserts and carpets.
Acquired by its sixth owner in 2016 with approximately 34, 000 miles, it joined a private collection. In December 2020, following a professional inspection, it was purchased by its current custodian with 35, 800 miles. Maintenance has continued with respected marque specialists, including replacement of all four shock absorbers and the addition of a high-torque starter motor.
Now showing just over 36, 000 miles, this Dino is offered with exceptional provenance, documented history.
