1947 MG TC - matching numbers
For many years the MG TC has been regarded as one of the archetypal British sports cars of its period – purposeful in appearance, with the classic rear ‘slab’ type fuel tank, long swept front wings and a brisk performance, the car was every young man’s dream in the early post war years. Demand from North America was to take precedence in those ‘export or die’ times and the waiting list for home market cars was very long indeed.
This example was produced during 1947 and the Factory Production Record shows it to have been built on 3rd July that year.
It has undergone a very good restoration and is of excellent appearance all round. Weather equipment, including tonneau cover is elderly, complete and serviceable but may require renewall in the future - this being reflected in the asking price.
There is much history supplied the car comes with the correct Instruction Manual.
