Mini 1100 Special prepared for Regularity rallies*
I am putting up for sale my car specially prepared for regularity rallies.
A full restoration file, including all invoices detailing the work carried out and a series of photographs, is available on request. This file will allow you to assess the quality and care devoted to the preparation of this exceptional vehicle.
1. Paint
• Interior and exterior paint of the body: Island Blue
• Roof paint: Old English White
2. Bodywork
• FIVE (5) x MINILITE wheels (grey) 5x10
• FIVE (5) x YOKOHAMA tyres 10" 165/ 70x10 YOKOHAMA A-032R
• Replacement of all exterior elements of the vehicle with stainless steel parts: bumpers, grille, headlamp bezels, rear lamps, etc.
• Addition of a headlight bar with TWO (2) long-range lamps and TWO (2) CIBIE fog lamps.
3. Interior
• Replacement of the headlining “Cream-Crackle”.
• Replacing the dashboard with a Monte Carlo type, installation of central instrument + Tripmaster + Chrono + reading light + tachometer, cut-out switch, Paddy Hopkirk pedals.
• Complete reupholstery and addition of TWO (2) Mini Cooper S 1961-1971 bucket seats.
• Replacement of all vehicle seals.
• Four-point bolt-in roll cage “Safety Devices”.
4. Engine:
• 1098cc engine block (10H).
• Metrology check.
• Replacement of connecting rod bearings, strengthened crankshaft bearing trimetal.
• New pistons and rings, honing of cylinders.
• Installation of a Keith CALVER RE13OT Optimum torque spec camshaft + timing by comparator, reinforced Isky tappets, block painting preparation, degreasing, engine painting, oil pump replacement, complete clutch.
• Complete overhaul of a Mini 1278 small-valve cylinder head, fly-cutting, valve-seat regrinding, replacement of valves with new ones + valve stem seals, preparation of removed passages/ bosses + combustion chamber, reinforced Victor Heinz head gasket.
• Replacement of the timing kit with a new one.
• Replacement of the HS4 carburettor with a twin HS2 Cooper S, complete refurbishment, throttle shafts, jet guides, joints, vaporblasting cabinet, conical K&N air filters, dashpot polishing.
• Installation of a Stage 1 manifold kit + sport exhaust system.
• Complete gearbox overhaul, metrology check, replacement of bearings, reinforced fixed drive shaft, competition synchro rings, replacement of 1st + 2nd + 3rd gears + fixed train, refurbishment of the differential crown wheel, satellite spacer + shaft + bearing, replacement of gearbox output seals, joints, refurbishment of the primary gear, new spacers and shims.
• Replacement of the clutch + mechanism, refurbishment of the primary gear, installation of an aluminium competition radiator + reinforced silicone hoses, replacement of engine mounts, installation of a 123 ignition distributor, full engine tuning.
• Conversion to Cooper S 7. 5 front brakes, front and rear aviation hoses, replacement of suspension cones + Gaz Shock absorbers + hilo kit, refurbishment of the front suspension + front cradle support + alignment.
