Description

History:
The 105 series, known as the Giulia, sold extremely well as a saloon, coupé, convertible and spider, proving what the Cuore sportivo could do for the family too. This saloon has an exciting history. First delivered in Frankfurt in 1977, an Alfa Romeo specialist decided to completely dismantle the Nuova and rebuild it with the face of the earlier Giulia Super. This laid the foundation for a new identity, and the Nuova became a Giulia, also in terms of its registration, which is stated as 1971 on the German vehicle registration document. A fan of the brand bought this car from the well-known german restorer, imported it into his new home in Switzerland and had it mechanically refurbished. The last few small rust spots were also repaired and the car was awarded veteran status by the MFK in August 2025 in its freshly preserved condition.

Bodywork and paintwork:
The repainting was carried out professionally and without finish. The panel gaps are excellent, the bodywork is immaculate and the substance is very good.

Interior:
The elegant interior spoils you with new genuine leather seats, new carpeting and a very well-maintained ambience. All wooden elements are as good as new and the instrumentation is complete.

Engine and mechanics:
At a cost of around CHF 10, 000, the mechanics were completely checked, a major inspection was carried out and the vehicle's electrical system was overhauled in the summer of 2025.

Chassis:
The test bench values show the condition of the overhauled chassis; the brakes were part of the overhaul work carried out in summer 2025.

Driving experience:
The Giulia Nuova lives up to its ‘Cuore sportivo’ reputation even as a saloon car. With an output of 103 hp, the 5-seater saloon drives like a sports car and accelerates to just under 200 km/ h. The throaty engine sound is pleasantly noticeable and the sportiness of the Giulia Nuova is accompanied by the surprisingly high driving comfort of a saloon.

Recommendation:
Until a few years ago, not many saloons were seen, as restoring a vehicle in this price range was hardly worthwhile in terms of cost-effectiveness. The growing popularity of these Italian exotics is motivating many enthusiasts and connoisseurs of the brand to invest in such a project, because the Giulia Nuova, with its unique character, will never be seen again. At the owner's request, significantly more than the current purchase price was invested in this model. As a result of moving to the Swiss mountains, the Alfisti is now also parting with this freshly veteran-approved model.
