A very rare vehicle, from long turn ownership, same family for the last 40 years.
Extensive interior restoration inc new wooden flooring, roof lining, rear blind, door cards, carpet but keeping the original leather seat covers, restored in 2023 at a cost of £7000, detailed invoice in history file
Mechanical overhauled/ recommissioned 2025 at a cost of over £3, 000 again detailed invoice/ photos in history file (this work was carried out by us)

For the 1939 model year, Rover added a two door coupe version of the '10' (10hp) model, sometimes referred to as a Doctors coupe. Motive power for the pretty Rover coupe was facilitated by a 1398cc, OHV pushrod, 10hp four-cylinder engine fitted with a SU carburettor and mated to a four-speed gearbox with freewheel. Just 250 were built in 1939 and 525 built in total between 1938-1940, before civilian production ended in order to move production for the 'war effort' following outbreak of WWII. The Coventry factory was damaged by bombing in November 1940 and when production restarted it was from the new Solihull works, sadly discontinuing the Coupe production.
Believed to be 1 of only 5 roadworthy examples known to the Rover register. 1939 luxuries include sliding sunroof, a rear window blind, toolkit and an operational self lubrication system for the suspension.
In the boot, along with the spare wheel is, original jack, wheel brace and starting handle.
