1964 - Alfa Romeo Giulia Spider Chassis n° AR 377802 Belgian registration document Vehicle sold without technical inspection Notice: "Very attractive estimate, Veloce type preparation!" The early 1950s marked a new era for the marque au Biscione with the production of the Giulietta, powered by a 1, 290 cm3 aluminum double-shaft. 1962 saw the appearance of the Spider Giulia 1600: although aesthetically close to its elder sibling, the mechanicals were revised with the installation of the 1, 570 cm3 engine from the Giulia TI, more powerful, flexible and reliable than the 1, 290 cm3, and the gearbox changed to a synchronized 5-speed. 1964 saw the introduction of the Veloce version, more powerful than the basic Giulia 1600. The recipe was simple: the 4-cylinder was simply swapped with the 129 hp Sprint Speciale, which had different camshafts and two Weber 45 carburetors. Our example is a "basic" Giulia Spider 1600, converted to the Veloce version (Weber 40 carburetors, not the original 45) during its restoration between 2024 and 2025. The bodywork is in good overall condition, as is the upholstery, which shows no notable defects. The soft top is also present and quite attractive. Our test drive enabled us to appreciate the very good working order of our beautiful Giulia! The current owner has chosen to upgrade his car to regularity rally configuration, with the addition of a tripmaster and additional lights. He also changed his steering wheel for a Nardi, taking care to keep the original one, which is of course sold with the car. Presented with a very attractive estimate, this pretty Giulia is the perfect companion to attack the rally season!
