Just arrived at South Norfolk classics
An absolutely outstanding 1959 MGA 1600 MK1 Roadster previously sold by ourselves but prior to that was originally imported from Australia back in 2014 / 2015.
The MGA was residing in New South Wales when it was taken of the road in 1970 and laid up in dry storage for many years.
The structure was totally solid which made it an ideal basis for a full restoration but the paintwork had been baked in the hot Australian sun.
Since being imported in 2015 this outstanding MGA has been fully restored, the interior has been totally re trimmed and it has had the engine fully rebuilt by Rawles Motorsport , virtually everything has been renewed or replaced.
The restoration has been carried out to an exceptional standard with incredible attention to detail with panel gaps and paint finish.
The MGA has been repainted in its original colour of Carnation Red which was unique to Australian market cars. The interior has had new quality Red carpets fitted, brand new weather gear, hood and side screens finished in Dove Grey and a full tonneau cover in Red.
The MGA rides on 15” stainless steel wire wheels with brand new tyres.
I can not stress enough how straight this car is and how good the panel gaps and paint finish are.
A Wooden Moto Lita steering wheel finishes off the period look but if preferred we do have an original MGA steering wheel.
