Triumph Dolomite Sprint Auto, (only 22 autos left.)
Aqua Green paint (very rare)
73500 mls, taxed until Oct,
Mot’d till June, but I will have the car mot’d for the new owner,
I purchased the car last Oct from L. Bowyer who took the Sprint in part exchange for a Lambretta, (this guy restores scooters)
The Dolly has been restored some years ago then it was just left on a drive,
I believe a Iain Hewitson completed the restoration work (which he done to a good standard.) but I’ve yet to confirm this.
I have spent time doing all the little odd jobs that needed sorting and cut back the paint so it shines really nice, and now is a pleasure to drive and gets admiring looks and comments at the various shows I have attended and was recommended at the Southern Triumph show.
To summarise :
Always starts well - electronic ignition fitted
Oil pressure gauge fitted, so no engine worries
It has been re sprayed in the past to quite a good standard,
Interior is nice and clean, no rips in the seats or head lining
The floors are very good as is the boot floor, no welding required
Lowered suspension with Spax damper and springs
5 Tyres all match and are as new,
Exhaust is stainless steel sport supplied by Rimmers
Rear off side door requires a little attention
Tow bar fitted
I have the V5C which is registered in my name,
I also have acquired a full list of previous owners from DVLA. One interesting owner was Pratical Classics from Aug 1995 - May1996 who took it on as a project car and it featured in their magazine for 10 months.
