The 1974 Ducati Supersport, aka Greenframe, needs no introduction. This particular example is patina perfect for a bike that has traveled only 1, 125 miles from new; that’s right, this bike has sat virtually untouched for over 40 years. Purchased new in 1975 from the Los Angeles Ducati dealer, the bike was loaded on to a truck and sat untouched in a San Diego hanger for over a decade.
In 1983 it was delivered to the Ducati dealer in Chula Vista (San Diego) where it was commissioned for the first time. The bike was ridden briefly and then sat again for several years before a close friend of the original owner purchased it, and bar a few outing it has remained unused.
The bike will need a good overhaul, clean the carbs and likely servicing of the brakes & master cylinders, but otherwise this bike is somewhat of a time capsule.
