Descrizione
Offered is a 1994 Citroen XM Estate Automatic for £1025. I have had the car since 2009 and use it for daily commutes to work. It has MOT till 13 June 2018. It passed the MOT without any advisories, except for 3 tires being close to the limit, which have been replaced on 10 September with new Goodyear tires. On 17 September a new nose cone was fitted and the headlights brightened up as described in the Citroenian of August 2014. On 9 January 2018 on both sides the corrosion at the rear end was welded and resprayed (see picture where it shows with the red arrow how the situation is restored). The leaking sunroof has been sealed of with silicone on 31 March 2018. The sagging headlining has been restored by a garage during the first week of April 2018.
Some issues are illustrated in the pictures and:
-Hanging speedometer (occasionally it works)
-Starts in all gears
-Key pad not functional
-Doors do not always lock
-ABS light often on (but breaks fine)
-Left front window does not open with left-door knobs, but does open and close with driver knobs
-Sunroof does not work (but motor does work, so may be disengaged).
This year we have had no problems with the car and also drove it to the Netherlands and back. The car was shown on the '25 years XM' event of the Citroen Car Club in 2014 and at the X rally 2017. It has currently done 177188 miles (10 September 2017).
Why do I sell it: I have two other operational XMs and we are only with the two of us, so one car too many.
Feel free to ask questions and come along to see and feel the car yourself.
