Lot 6
A 1970 Rover P6 Three Thousand Five Hundred, registration number VAX 484H, chassis number 42510235F, engine number 42512170C, Tobacco Leaf brown. This time warp P6 was discovered on a farm outside Newport, Gwent, in a wooden garage where she had stood laid up, covered in protective blankets since her last tax disc expired in 1984. Presented in wonderful original condition, both externally and internally, the original interior finished with black leather still retains the original supplied Radiomobile radio and 8 track stereo tape player (complete with tape cassettes). The Rover was supplied by Dovey Motor Co, Newport, to F T Nuttall Ltd, 24 Lansdown Road, Abergavenny, Monmouthshire. The P6 would remain in the local area, before being purchased by our vendor's father. Unfortunately the logbook has been lost but the original owner's dealer supplied wallet comes with the car, containing the owner's maintenance manual, V8 supplement, optional equipment brochure, other brochures and tax discs from 1970. This wonderful, unmolested example of Rover's sport saloon will now require recommissioning and offers a wonderful opportunity to purchase a P6 worthy of inclusion in any private collection.
