EXTERIOR
The Cobalt blue presents beautifully with the colour concept changing with different exposure to light. Studio, Sun and Showroom provide a trio of different aspects to the car’s appearance - enhancing the well proportioned 997 body. With distinctive smooth lines and oval bi-xenon headlights, this is classic 911 but with the more aggressive Turbo angles; from a modified front end, wide wheel arches and the rear featuring a redesigned wing spoiler and bumper.
The car presents in excellent condition with typical areas such as lights, mirrors and rear arches showing almost no signs of use. Trim and plastics are also in fine condition with no scratches or crazing, along with all the other glass, windows and light fittings.
INTERIOR
The 997 maintains that perfect Porsche balance of style and substance with a cabin swathed in leather and graced with plenty of tech. The adaptive multi-way seats retain excellent integrity and show no abnormal signs of wear with stitching and contour in fine condition. Switchgear can often fall foul of grubby fingers and sharp nails although buttons and dials read crisp and clean. The cabin here presents near perfectly with side sills, gearbox tunnel and carpets all appreciably fresh and unmarked.
Sport Chrono package plus present here offers more than a dial in the centre of the dash, it offers a more sensitive throttle map alongside altering PSM (Porsche Stability Management) via the Sport button to allow further exploration of the chassis as well as ability to allocate personal settings for up to three different ignition keys. Drivers’ memory seat and Sunroof offer further considerations for Grand Touring capability.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The flat 6 is unmistakable Porsche on start up, purposeful yet civilised. The engine performs admirably with a tight, tactile gearshift and the 6 speed manual gear box is a joy to operate, pulling through the gears with perfect German precision and huge amounts of torque low down from the variable geometry turbos.
There are no concerns regarding longevity with the clutch and flywheel replaced in June of 2015.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The hallmark 997 Turbo alloys present in excellent unmarked condition and look spectacular against the blue coachwork. Michelin Pilot Sport rubber graces all four corners, N2 Porsche rated, all displaying plenty of tread depth.
Brakes show very well, with clean calipers and un-lipped discs.
HISTORY FILE
Registered in November of 2007, this 997 has an all OPC stamped service book with both Guildford and Tonbridge responsible for maintenance.
The car was the recipient of a new clutch and flywheel in the summer of 2015 and will be serviced with the main dealer upon sale.
A full book pack is accounted for alongside the spare key.
