Although I'm very much a BMW "airhead" man, i must confess to a soft spot for a nice Triumph twin......... and this one is a VERY nice Triumph twin.
It appears that the bike was restored around 5 years ago, and after nominal mileage, was, understandably, consigned to being a displayed investment.
As you can hopefully see from the pics, she's a very early unit 650 Thunderbird, complete with bikini bathtub. All of the bodywork is in steel, and the two tone, factory spec silver and black coachwork is almost unmarked. We've given the bike a light re commissioning (new battery, oil, etc) and despite literally no use for around 4 years, she fired up second kick. No smoke, no rattles, and a short ride confirmed that she rides as good as she looks. Obviously a matching numbers bike.
With these models on a steep upward price curve, we feel that this Thunderbird is both an excellent investment opportunity, AND a great "high days and holidays " machine. Even at this competitive price, we'll happily consider YOUR classic in part exchange.
