Chevrolet BELAIR 1957, 2 door V8.
1957, 2 door Chevrolet Belair in its original colour of ‘Dusk Pink’, with an Ivory cap. Original 283 c. i engine. Imported into the U. K in 2014 and bought to do some shows etc. This car was chosen by our customer in the states for its originality, condition, and colour scheme. She has also had a small fortune spent on her, in the state of which nearly all is in the extensive history file . The bodywork/ paintwork is just superb, with no issues at all. The internal photo is to show its true colour, as it is pearlescent, so changes in the sun slightly. The only remedial done when the car arrived back in 2014, was, that it was sent off for a professional rust treatment and then wax-oiled to protect for future years. The chrome work is in A1 condition and there is a lot of it!! The original Gold badging has been retained as was an optional extra in ‘57 on this car. Mechanically the Belair is superb, and sounds fantastic through its new exhaust. Upon its arrival, the Belair was fully serviced, with most serviceable items being replaced. An additional oil change has just been carried out too. The original UK owner also decided to give the braking system a full overhaul and upgrade, so she has new dual master cylinder, all new copper lines, new brake hoses, wheel cylinders etc etc. The original steel wheels and trims are all in superb order and the period correct wide whitewalls are as new. The boot space is clean and tidy and solid, and is matted. Houses a full spare and original jack. The interior is again 1st class. A new headlining was applied in the States, and is as per factory original. The rare rear fender skirts which again were an option, are easily levered on and off. This very alluring charismatic Belair is ready to go and show. Please do not confuse this Belair with the cheaper converted 210 Sedan. This is the real deal in its correct guise, and boasts ‘winner of best ‘50s’, entered by it’s owner in a show last year.
