If you want one of the most original early Land Rovers left in existence, you have just found it ! This vehicle was supplied new in the Orkney Isles by local BMC agents, J & W Taits, Junction Road, Kirkwall to a local well known engineer, who has maintained it all its days throughout his ownership. That just happens to add up to add up to a whopping 62 years, before passing into a local collection in 2014. All original matching numbers, and the body has never been separated from the chassis. Waste engine oil has been applied regularly during the cars lifetime, to the chassis, outriggers and other areas that would normally suffer corrosion. Still on its original "BS" registration plate. Original handbook, with hand written notes, sales brochure, some previous MOTs and other sundry documentation accompanies. Covered a warranted 96000 miles from new.
