For Sale June 1968 MGC Roadster Tartan Red, Black Leather Seats piped in Red, Chrome Wire Wheels, 4 Speed/ Synchro Gearbox with Overdrive. Chassis number 564. The vehicle received a complete restoration in 2002 both bodily and mechanical. The body restoration covered all areas of the car resulting in Tartan Red body colour to the underside of the vehicle. Additional restoration covered Engine, suspension, engine bay and interior.
The vehicles owner came to us in 2013 to bring the car up to a greater standard of finish. Main areas for attention on the body centred on new front wings, valence, rear wings with inner/ outer wheel arches, general panel fit etc. Removal of these panels allowed full assessment of the overall body condition which was excellent. New panels were repainted to underside/ inside prior to fitting.
The remaining external panel work was stripped back to bare metal and refinished in a very high quality Tartan Red.
All external fittings were refinished and all bumpers rechromed. The suspension was all removed and re-powder coated and polyurethane bushes used to all areas. The suspension ride height was optimised on the torsion bars to produce a most pleasing visual appearance. The fuel tank was replaced and the fuel system overhauled. A new Stainless Steel exhaust system was fitted to complete the underside.
Under the bonnet the all ready excellent bay was improved with a new radiator and surroundings additional detailing and mechanical upgrades including electronic ignition and carb overhaul.
The Gearbox and Overdrive were Reconditioned at the same time.
The interior was upgraded further with a new moulded carpet set with additional sound deadening . A new folding hood frame with double duck hood along with small detailing completed the interior.
Overall the car is now in a outstanding condition to all areas. The drive and mechanics are first rate and the vehicle wants for nothing, Viewing is highly recommended.
