This example has been upgraded with a Land Rover 300 TDi engine and four-speed automatic gearbox, replacing the somewhat unloved original 2.5 VM diesel and manual combination. Der Spender-Motor, das Getriebe und das Verteilergetriebe stammten aus einem anderen Range Rover von 1994 mit 89.000 Meilen auf der Uhr; das wurde für den Nachweis fotografiert. Anschließend wurde das Getriebe gewartet und mit neuen Übersetzungen überholt. Die Diesel-Einspritzdüse wurde komplett zerlegt und wieder aufgebaut. Bitte beachten: Die blinkende Wasser-Warnleuchte im Video ist ein Fehler am Schalter im Ausgleichsbehälter und stellt keinen Defekt am Motor dar. Die Fenster auf der Beifahrerseite fahren leider nicht herunter – das ist aber nur ein kleines elektrisches Problem. Die Servolenkung ist in Ordnung, außerdem hat sie das originale Range Rover Radio, das sehr gut funktioniert. 2 Schlüssel, die Heckklappe und Türen sowie die Zündung verriegeln – also alle originalen Schlösser. Ausgestattet mit Wegfahrsperre und Kraftstoffabschaltung. Mit rund 30 mpg im Schnitt läuft sie als täglicher Klassiker echt gut!
