The Appeal
It's impossible to overstate the impact that Jaguar's post-war XK range had on the global car industry. In the context of their time, these were supercars - amongst the fastest and best-handling vehicles money could buy in an age when most people didn't even own a car, let alone one that could travel well in excess of one hundred miles per hour.
The Jaguar XK140 Drophead Coupé offered a degree of refinement and weather protection over the open-top OTS. The DHC combined the XK140's celebrated straight-six performance with genuine grand touring ability, a combination that has made it one of the most sought-after variants in the XK lineage.
This 1956 example was acquired by its current owner in November 2019 from Winspeed of Guildford, a well-regarded Jaguar specialist. With the vendor's other XK140, an OTS, taking priority, this Drophead Coupé is now offered for its next custodian to enjoy.image.png1.69 MB
