1978 Triumph Spitfire 1500
This is a very useable summer classic! I have used it as my daily driver, during the summer months, for the last 10 years! The car is definitely not concours but is in very good condition overall. We have really enjoyed owning her over the last decade or so!The car had a bare metal respray (in our ownership) about 10 years ago and she still looks great! Whilst the paint is no longer perfect, she still looks very smart! The interior carpets have been replaced in our ownership and are in great condition. The door cards, wooden dash panels and seatbelts have all been renewed during our ownership. She has been converted to run on unleaded fuel - this was done roughly two years ago -and she has a stainless steel exhaust and an uprated, aluminium radiator. This Spitfire comes with a history folder containing many bills, invoices and details of work we have carried out during our ownership of the vehicle. On the road, the car drives very well , the engine is extremely reliable and she moves through the gears smoothly. The car also has a beige hood cover and also an outdoor car cover. She is MOT exempt and has been lovingly looked after to keep her in road-worthy condition.
Our Spitty has had 13 former keepers and we acquired her in June 2012 in a private sale.
