1969 MGC GT restored to ‘Fast-road’ spec.
77k miles - £22, 950

Original restoration in early 1990’s carried out by the MGBHIVE still in very good order with good chrome-work all round. Further comprehensive restorative work in present ownership detailed below means this GT drives smoothly and reliably, easily keeping pace with modern traffic and with an excellent mirror-deep black lustre, is regularly shown at events.

Specifications;

Engine; 2. 910Ltr in-line 6 cyl.
Lightened and balanced flywheel
New Kent MGC1 camshaft with vernier timing gear, new cam-chain/ tensioner and cam-followers (2. 5k miles only).
Ported and polished head with phosphor-bronze valve guides, new high-grade head gasket.
Electronic fuel pump and Refurbished HS6 carbs.
Large-core radiator with new machined-billet filler assembly.
New distributor with in-built electronic ignition and mega-spark coil plus back-up secondary ‘Lumenition’ system.
6 x Branch manifold to 2” stainless exhaust.

Transmission;
New clutch (Under 10k) , new clutch master and slave cylinders.
Gearbox and Overdrive both reconditioned (Under 10k).

Rolling-gear and steering;
Rebuilt front stub-axle assemblies, new king-pins, bushes, steering rack and track-rod ends. Steering column re-bushed.
New brake-discs, Callipers and wheel-bearings, new rear drums, brake pipes renewed as required together with new Master and slave cylinders.
New adjustable gas shock-absorbers to rear, new front wheels and tyres all round.

Body and interior;
Newly supplied and fitted Tudor Webasto sun-roof plus replacement head-lining, clean black upholstery in very good overall condition. New inertia-reel seatbelts, Battery isolator.
Moto-Lita 14” wheel fitted (Original 15” remains with vehicle).
Bodywork/ chassis fully restored in early 1990’s by the MGBHIVE and still in very good order with good chrome-work all round. Further restorative work in present ownership (as photographic record). Over 30 Years of significant history spanning restoration together with comprehensive archive of works, receipts and MOT’s plus assorted photo records.
