Description
1944 Ford GPW
This Jeep was shipped from USA to UK and sent to Newbury during the war and has been marked up as 101 Airborne Division (Screaming Eagles) as they were based at Newbury for D Day. The last owner had her for 30 years and I have had her for 12 years. This is a real World War 2 Jeep, restored some years ago. It has the original data plates on the glove box (vary rare indeed) with matching chassis numbers. Many 'F' marked parts, combat wheels, lubrication chart, Bastogne Bustle, doors and weather equipment, screen cover, M1 carbine, siren, manual, spares. A well cared for and reliable vehicle and part of our history and heritage. Remember it will be 80 years since D Day in 2024 when the MVT are making a big effort in Normandy to celebrate.
