A pleasure to present this rare MGB GT V8 in one of its finest colours. A "lightweight" coupe with a 3. 5 liter V8 engine and rare because just 2591 have been built from the MG factory..
Offered here is one of the last chrome models in Teal Blue from 1974
The body of the vehicle is in good condition. Gaps and fitting are all ok. Sills and doors are perfect. Underbody with the typical thick undercoat ex works. The car was largely restored and painted a few years ago. Here in a version with the original Webasto folding roof.
Engine & Transmission run flawlessly. The carburetors were completely overhauled a few years ago. The overdrive transmission shifts perfectly.

All units and assemblies are fully functional.
The vehicle is in good condition. Allways been driven by adult driver who cared about necessary maintenance and care measures have been taken. The individual criteria are described in detail in the appendix.
Paint:
The color combination is contemporary original. Teal Blue
There are partially light paint chips and scratches. Significant damage and poor quality can be found in the area of ??the front left and rear left door.
Chrome / Ornaments:
The chrome trim of the vehicle is in good condition.
Chrome applications on the window frames as well as on the rear bumper, rocker strips, door handles and ventilation grilles are in good condition.
Glass: The windows are in good to very good condition.
The entire glazing of the vehicle is complete and corresponds to the properties of the factory delivery.
Interior equipment Interior :
The interior is complete but in used condition. The color scheme corresponds to the delivery in 1974. The seat covers have been renewed in a contemporary color. Apart from that, the interior is in original condition. The condition is according to the mileage shown on the odometer. Last MOT in 2008 is showing 8118 mls actual showing 21000 mls and a corresponding TUEV ( MOT ) so it could be a realistic mileage of 121000 mls ( but cannot be proved by now )Apart from the upholstery material, the equipment is in its original condition and has not been tampered with.
Technology:
All components were installed carefully and according to the original and do not show any malfunctions.
Engine and gears:
Compression checked several times and ok.
The engine and transmission suffer from the typical, slight loss of oil. The Lucas ignition system has been improved with a 123 distributor. The engine runs very well both in a cold start and when warm. The compression is good. The running of the engine shows no abnormalities in any load condition. The exhaust behavior indicates a good setting. Apparently there is no soot formation or oil combustion. A mixture of oil and water could not be determined.
Axles:
The axles of the vehicle run completely noise-free and without rumbling. The front and rear axles are fitted with new polyurethane bushings. The rear axle dampers were replaced with Koni telescopic dampers. The MG is currently rolling on new aluminum rims in the so-called "Minilite" design - and almost new tires measuring 185 65 x 15. As is well known, this wheel combination has better running and dynamic handling. The original 14" chrome/ steel rim set is present and in very good condition.
