Description

MGB Roadster MK1 1964 Very early Pull handle A genuine original car just two owners from new. Matching numbers and has always been in Birmingham.
Previous keeper acquired it from his Uncle in 1982 when he was 17 his uncle had bought it new 1st January 1965.
A much loved MGB it was taken off the road in 1988 to be restored however it has remained garaged ever since !
There are receipts dated 1988 showing it had a brand new windscreen, engine rebuild, gearbox reconditioned and lots of other receipts and mot’s.
It has been stored in a dry garage for the last thirty five years, Bermuda roof fitted for all of that time and covered.
The bodywork is extremely good, the bulkhead, inner flitches, floor pans are solid, sound and original. It is certainly Not a rot box.
The original engine was removed in 1987 and another engine fitted whilst waiting for the rebuild, the original is included together with lots of other spares.
Original tonneau covers long and short, Bermuda hardtop, original soft top with folding bars, also original tonneau bars.
It has a full stainless steel exhaust system too.
A straight forward restoration, it will obviously need some repairs and painting.
The doors shut nicely, it’s easy to see the car is very original it has had work completed in the past but in the main it is a very genuine car that has not been molested.
In summary it will require some repair and then painting, the mechanical side sorting.
Finished it will be a fabulous Early MGB pull handle with just two owners from new.
Regretful sale more funds are needed to finish my MGA Roadster
Collection from Kidderminster you will need a trailer, there is a local chap who can transport it to you at a fee. MGB Roadster Pull handle very early car 1964 and registered January 1st 1965 Just Two Owners from New
Great sound Original condition, incredibly it has been garaged since 1988 it had lots of work completed at that time but then the restoration stalled.
A lot of the important areas are in fantastic condition given it has been kept in the dry and lots of grease has been applied everywhere!
Certainly not rotten it will require restoration and will make a fabulous very sought after MGB Roadster with very few owners and lots of history!
